More on the Rising Stars Project
The Rising Stars program did not select stars but took those who were keen enough to want to take part.
They did do an audition before they started, but it was just to produce a base line to work from, and to give those attending the opportunity to find out more.
People had a fat agreement, written in plain English so they knew what was involved.
They came and lived in a house provided for the period of the training, well it was more like a palace, as it had indoor heated pool, there were more bathrooms than bedrooms, large grounds going down to a river, very large studio, a library and much more. (at no cost to them).
Most groups were either all male or all female, one group was mixed, but there was more actively on playing between the sexes than in working, so this was not repeated.
